In History this week, Year 6 have been working hard on their Double Page Spreads, showing off everything they have learned about the Ancient Maya Civilisation! We look forward to seeing them when they are complete.
As the children will be visiting London tomorrow for their residential, they looked at maps of London. They drew a map, highlighting the human features they will be visiting. Then, they used the scale of the map to calculate the distance between certain places. Have a great time away.
Year 6, have started a new topic all about What’s in the news. They looked at excerpts of French newspapers and identified the different news sections.they practised pronouncing the new vocabulary and played a variety of games to remember and identify the different sections.
This week the children’s lesson was split into two sections. Firstly, they completed their overarching question - what is it like in South America? Then, they played around with six grid references.
