R.E Day - Understanding the importance of rules and laws, and looking at whether Jesus was a law breaker

 In this week's RE day, we looked at whether Jesus was a lawbreaker, which is what he was accused of. We spoke of how rules and laws protect us and keep us safe, and what a world would look like without laws. We discussed whether Jesus could ever be considered a law breaker, and we learned that they was actually a group of people who strongly disliked him, and accused him of breaking the law on several occasions. We finally asked whether, if at all, there is ever a situation where it is okay to break the law.

What does our heart look like?

After learning that our circulatory system is responsible for moving a range of very important things around our bodies, and that it consists of three parts; the heart, the blood and the blood vessels, today we focussed down on the heart.  The children produced some amazing sketches of a human heart from their own research! They are excited for dissection at the end of the unit, to see how close their diagrams are!

Computing - Introduction to Variables

 Today in computing we have been exploring the concept of variables. Variables are information that is changeable, for example a score or timer in a game. To help us to understand the concept we first used code that included a changing variable, before modifying it and then making our own.
